Dots-per-inch (DPI)

Internet Marketing Glossary - Definition:

Dots-per-inch (DPI)

Describes the quality of a printed image. Simply put, the higher the number of dots that can be printed, the finer the reproduction quality. 72 DPI is standard for the web, and 300 DPI is standard for print, so if your photo is only 72 DPI expect it to be blurred.
