Company Profile
The development of resorts is a capital intensive business that requires a relatively long time frame for market development and return on investment. Developing a new resort requires a vision, conditioned by practical experience.
The Seer Resort Company is a team of professionals dedicated to providing excellence in international resort development and operations. Their ethical standards are the highest in the industry, with their professional practices modelled on those of the architectural and engineering associations.

The Project
With over 200 resort projects completed world wide, the Seer Company required a creative brand and a website that would help them showcase their vast knowledge, experience, and past resort projects. Their primary target is China, so the logo and website needed to be designed to cater to the Asian market.
The Process
Branding
When designing the logo, we wanted to create something that could loosely represent both the Chinese/Asian culture, and the thoughts of freedom and happiness that are associated with resorts & vacationing. Flowers generally spark thoughts of happiness and good feelings, and the Lotus is a common flower throughout most parts of Asia, with the oldest seeds dating back 1300 years to a lakebed in China. As for color usage, the red and yellow are familiar to the same red and yellow found in the Chinese flag.
Web Design
The main point of the website was to “sell the dream” of luxury resorts. The Seer Company had many assets coming into the project such as high res images, renderings, and models of previous resort projects. We designed the website to be extremely simple so that the images of previous work would really stand out. We also included the important content in a Mandarin Chinese version of the website, which can be easily toggled back and forth with the English version.
As always, we consider usability a high priority and in this project we were challenged with making sure the user is always aware of where they were. By structuring multiple navigation systems, the visitors can easily navigate the site.
The Result
Working together with the Seer Company was an enjoyable experience as they gave us complete trust and freedom to bring their vision to life. They were extremely happy with both the brand created for them, and the website.
